Scholars do not know the exact date of any of the Gospels. other clues which narrow the date down further, and lead to either an early dating or a late dating.

That would require a date for Mark in or after 70, when Titus took the city. On balance, this suggests a date for Mark some time around , during the Jewish war.

The Gospel of John gets a bad rap among skeptical scholars, and many place less value on it than on Matthew, Mark, and Luke.
